Thinking about archery, it took me to a few years back when I used to shoot arrows with a friend of mine, who was one of the representatives of Selangor Archery team – way back when he was in school. Since he had his own bows and arrows, his siblings and I would shoot arrows in their backyard which was a lot of fun. Then again, I was much younger so everything was fun!
Archery, as we all know, has been a popular recreational activity for generations. Way back since the dawn of mankind. Although archery has been used in many varied ways, it was most commonly used throughout history for war and hunting while civilizations used archery to change the tides of many battles. Archery was highly thought of in ancient times and great prestige came from being a properly trained archer.
Nowadays, archery is used as a sport. Recreational archery is widely known around the world for the skill and determination it takes to succeed in it.
For the short period of time I learned how to shoot arrows, it was a lot of fun for me but it is all in the past now. It’s time for me to take up something else…
