A few weeks ago, Semi Worldwide had their products advertised in DSTV magazine and numerous people called to ask about the awesome products. The reactions were amazing and obviously, the calls made everyone chuffed about the revenues they’d be earning.
However, about a week and a half to two weeks ago, my boyfriend came home rather pissed off because the company had been duped by a man. It all began with a phone call by this man stating that he was very interested in their products and was damn adamant about buying the products. After all the necessary process was done, the man basically retracted the money he wrote on the cheque. The overall product-loss for the company came up to about R20,000.00 and it was definitely not a fun experience for everybody.
If we could take the good out of getting scammed is that we learn from the experience and I believe that painful experiences are good teachers and for most part of getting scammed, we start to take preventive measures as a means of not getting scammed by irresponsible people again.
It was certainly upsetting for the directors and staff of Semi Worldwide and that is probably an understatement. Nevertheless, I believe that this sort of things happened for a reason. We do not see the reason behind all this right now but I am sure and positive that better things are going to happen for Semi Worldwide. This is just one of those things companies go through every now and then to test the strength of the company and its people.

Wow, did the person actually get away with the products and afterwards retracted the money? I hope they catch him!! Otherwise how is life treating you. Well I hope. That's the gist of it, yes. Wrote a cheque for the company and retracted it after he got the goods.
